I am a PCHE homeschooling mom who is offering voice lessons to female students ranging from 6 years old to adult. I have been instructing for 17 years. My heart is to offer professional, vocal coaching by systematically teaching healthy, vocal technique. Each student has the opportunity to participate in monthly recitals and various competitions throughout the year.

The focus of PE+PLUS is for students to learn to enjoy and participate in sports and physical activities with a proper, godly perspective, as well as to live life in a full and Christ-like way.

We will usually warm up to begin each class and many times get an aerobic workout through the activities of the day. Cardiovascular fitness, muscle conditioning, and goal setting will be modeled and taught.

This program is designed with age appropriate classes for pre-K through 12th grade. It is based in the South Denver Metro area and in Colorado Springs.

Coming from over 25 years in education the Kemps have enjoyed all the wonderful families in the home school world. Family involvement seems to be a key. Dave and Debbie have two children, David and Ethan, both who help in the family's hom...

Category: Enrichment Classes Date Posted: Wednesday, July 29, 2009 By: Ronnie McKay

We are interested in offering a suite of integrated courses in theology, western civilization and logic, as well as physical science (physics and chemistry) and mathematics, from a classical, Christian perspective to a group of highly motivated homeschoolers (ages 12-18).

With sufficient interest, courses would begin in the fall of 2010 with the goal of completing a curriculum cycle in these subject areas over a 3-4 year time frame. Classes would meet weekly at a location near/in Castle Rock. Other details are yet to be determined, in large part by those who would participate.

For more information, please contact Barbara Helmkamp by email at helmkamp@q.com or call 720-842-0126. Informational and organizational meetings will be scheduled accordingly.

High School Physics, Physical Science, & Algebra Courses

Category: Enrichment Classes Date Posted: Wednesday, July 29, 2009 By: Ronnie McKay

Home School Courses: High School Physics, Physical Science, & Algebra

I am interested in teaching either a college prep high school physics course (using Apologia), or a middle school physical science course for strong math students (using BJUP The Physical World), or possibly both. I would also be interested in teaching Algebra (using Saxon). Courses would be offered on a 15-week semester basis with each course being two semesters. Which course(s) would be offered depends on interest. Either science course would incorporate a “young earth” creation doctrine apologetic throughout.

For the high school physics course, classes would be held once a week for 2 hours; for the physical science course or the Algebra course, once a week for 1½ hours. Classes would be in my home, wh...
