Theology and Science courses

Category: Enrichment Classes Date Posted: Wednesday, January 13, 2010 By: Barbara Helmkamp

We are interested in offering secondary courses in theology, physical science (e.g., chemistry and physics), and mathematics from a classical Christian perspective to a group of highly motivated homeschoolers (ages 12-18).

Two theology tracks are proposed - Worldviews and Apologetics (each one semester), and Christian Faith and Christian Life (also each one semester) - as well as a variety of the usual science and math courses.

With sufficient interest, courses would begin in the fall of 2010. Classes would meet once a week in Castle Rock, tentatively at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church on a Monday or Tuesday. Other details are yet to be determined, in large part by those who would participate. Critical mass for this venture is six students in a theology track; presently, we have three.

For more information (including our tentative cost schedule and a potential course listing in the form of a survey), please contact Barbara Helmkamp by email at or call 720-842-0126.
