Call to Action - Legislatively

The United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) poses a serious threat to the rights of parents to direct the upbringing of their children, by making the government – not the parent – responsible for decisions that are made for that child.

Colorado's two U.S. Senators have not signed on to co-sponsor S.R. 99 which opposes the ratification of the UNCRC. Our safety net of signatures must increase in case the proponents of the UNCRC are successful and are able to get the UNCRC in the U.S. Senate for ratification.

Please take action and call the two CO Senators and encourage them to sign on to co-sponsor S.R. 99. Feel free to forward this information on to others.

This is not a Republican or Democratic issue. This is an issue for any parent who believes the government does not have the right to mandate what we teach our children in regards to our faith, to education, to medial treatment, etc. If the UNCRC passes, it will make it illegal to teach your children that Jesus is the only way, considering that child abuse. Another example; if your 10 year old decides they don't want to go to church, they can go to court and the courts will have the right to dictate what you do with your 10 year old or any other child. You will loose the right to make those decisions for your children!!! Thanks much.
